Experience
I had a chance to study abroad in Spain for a semester, and I got my first experience as an educator by assisting students in English language learning. I received my undergraduate degree in anthropology, sociology, and creative writing at New York University, and then I became a program coordinator for the university. I then went to Chile for a year to teach English at a low funds school. I also taught English to adults. I currently work as a substitute teacher at a charter school that is bilingual in English and Spanish. I also have an IB diploma from high school, and I would enjoy working with students on IB courses like language and literature, theory of knowledge, extended essay, biology SL, history HL, and others. I love helping students learn new things, and I am determined to help everyone of them succeed. I believe learning should be exciting and fun, and I try to inject that into every session. I also understand that every student has their own learning style, and I'm always looking for ways that I can effectively match that. In my free time, I enjoy listening to live music, practicing my Spanish skills, writing, going on hikes, drawing, and travel.
