EducationI graduated in 2009 from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Business and a minor in Spanish; I recently graduated from Pepperdine School of Law and passed the California Bar Exam. I recently moved to Washington from Los Angeles and now work for the VA.
ExperienceI tutored high-school students in Spanish and and SAT prep throughout college. I also tutored college students in business courses. Last year, I tutored several middle and high school students in Spanish and other subjects.
I studied Spanish from kindergarten all the way through college. I scored a 5 on the AP exam and a perfect score on the Spanish SAT II. I was awarded a scholarship for excellence in Spanish from my high school. I went on to minor in it, and I spent a month studying in Spain after my freshman year of college.
I absolutely LOVE languages and helping others learn them. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring, and while languages come to me quickly, I am able to see what it is that causes others to sometimes get stuck. I feel that I am good at explaining these things in ways that students can comprehend. I also am a very patient person and am not satisfied until I am certain the student has a grasp of the concept.
